Project Management Engineering Professional (Project Lead Engineering)

About the role

Hitachi, Ltd. is seeking an experienced Project Management Engineering Professional to lead large‑scale engineering, construction, and commissioning projects from inception to handover. The role demands end‑to‑end ownership, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, monitor, and close complex engineering projects.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams including engineering, procurement, construction, and operations.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks with contingency plans.
• Manage contractors, suppliers, and third‑party vendors to ensure compliance with specifications and contracts.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and provide regular project updates.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
• Conduct project reviews, track performance metrics, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external audiences.
• Drive continuous improvement in project management processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical) or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 14‑16 years of progressive project management experience in engineering, construction, and commissioning environments.
• Proven track record of delivering large‑scale projects on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Willingness to travel as required.
