Research Assistant – Private Equity (Asset Management)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Research Assistant to support our Asset Management team’s private‑equity activities. You will work closely with investment professionals to conduct industry and company research, analyse financial data, and help prepare materials that drive investment decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct industry, market and company research for private‑equity opportunities.
• Analyse financial statements, market trends and business performance data.
• Assist in drafting investment memos, reports, presentations and financial models.
• Support due‑diligence processes for potential investments and portfolio companies.
• Monitor portfolio performance and maintain research databases.
• Gather data from financial reports, market sources and industry publications.
• Identify emerging market trends and investment opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams on research projects and investment analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field.
• Strong analytical and research abilities.
• Basic understanding of private‑equity, investment analysis and financial markets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
• Internship or prior exposure to investment, banking, consulting or asset management is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience with financial research tools.
