Respiratory Therapist

About the role

Amana Healthcare is launching its first Bahrain facility in Al Jasra and seeks a qualified Respiratory Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team delivering long‑term and post‑acute rehabilitation care.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders and develop therapeutic plans.
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications and chest physiotherapy.
• Operate and manage mechanical ventilators and other life‑support equipment.
• Monitor patient responses, adjust treatments and document progress.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory health, medication use and equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and therapists to implement care plans.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as spirometry, arterial blood gases (ABG) and pulmonary function tests (PFTs).
• Maintain and sterilize respiratory therapy equipment.
• Participate in emergency resuscitation efforts, including CPR and intubation support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent.
• Valid NHRA professional license in Bahrain.
• BLS/ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience in ICU, ER or long‑term care is an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure within a multidisciplinary team.
