Secondary Art Teacher

About the role

The school follows a classic British model, delivering the British National Curriculum alongside Bahrain Ministry of Education requirements. As a Secondary Art Teacher you will inspire students in the senior school, fostering creativity and artistic development within a nurturing, family‑oriented environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess art lessons for secondary‑level students in line with the British curriculum.
• Integrate Arabic, Islamic and Social Studies themes where appropriate.
• Mentor newly qualified and early‑career teachers, supporting their professional growth.
• Contribute to the school’s house system activities and broader community events.
• Maintain a safe, stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant art discipline.
• Recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE or QTS.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience at the secondary level.
• Experience with the British curriculum is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for nurturing young learners.

Required skills

• Knowledge of British National Curriculum standards for art.
• Ability to adapt lessons to incorporate local cultural and religious requirements.
