Senior APC Engineer

About the role

Yokogawa is seeking a Senior Advanced Process Control (APC) Engineer to lead APC and Model‑Based Control (MVC) projects across refining, petrochemical and polymer units. You will work within a global team to design, implement and optimise control strategies that support the energy transition and digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for APC implementation and define hardware/software architecture.
• Develop and execute APC/MVC projects from control definition through functional design specifications, plant testing, detailed engineering, controller and estimator modelling, site integration, SAT, commissioning, post‑audit and PGTR.
• Commission APC controllers in refinery, petrochemical and polymer processes.
• Provide maintenance support, modify control strategies to maximise uptime, and deliver training to plant operators and engineers.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience in Advanced Process Control.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Proven ability to assess APC benefits for various process units.
• Hands‑on commissioning experience in refining, petrochemical or polymer environments.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
