Senior Coordinator – Student Personal & Professional Development

About the role

The Senior Coordinator will lead the coordination and supervision of the university’s extra‑ and co‑curricular personal and professional development programmes. Reporting to the Head of Student Development and Wellbeing, the role supports the creation of resilient, well‑rounded healthcare graduates.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement coordination strategies for university‑wide student development programmes, ensuring accessibility, inclusivity and alignment with the graduate profile.
• Oversee flagship programmes such as the International Citizenship Award, Personal Tutor Programme, Student Health Ambassador Programme and the Personal and Professional Development Fund.
• Collaborate with the Head of Student Development to shape and execute the department’s student development strategy.
• Co‑create initiatives with students, clinical partners and other stakeholders to enhance professional identity formation.
• Work with the Communications Coordinator to promote programmes across digital platforms and ensure clear, up‑to‑date information on the VLE.
• Manage programme budgets, monitor expenditure and ensure compliance with university procedures.
• Maintain accurate programme documentation, resources and communications.

Required profile

• Significant experience coordinating student development or similar educational programmes.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Experience working within a university or higher‑education environment is desirable.
