Senior Structural Engineer – Consultancy Role

About the role

MSCEB is looking for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead the design and analysis of reinforced concrete and steel structures across all project stages. You will work within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment, delivering safe and efficient solutions for high‑rise, residential, commercial, hotel and retail projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop structural concepts, preliminary and detailed designs.
• Perform structural analysis, design calculations and prepare technical specifications.
• Design reinforced concrete and structural steel structures in line with international codes.
• Coordinate design activities with architects, engineers, clients and other consultants.
• Review structural drawings, calculations and multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Conduct peer reviews and ensure compliance with internal QA/QC procedures.
• Respond to technical and site queries; review construction‑stage submittals.
• Assess constructability, project risks and value‑engineering opportunities.
• Plan resources and monitor project schedules, budgets and deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers, graduates and technicians.
• Participate in client, coordination and technical meetings.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Structural Engineering.
• 10–15 years of structural engineering experience, primarily within an engineering consultancy.
• Proven experience in high‑rise building design, including dynamic and seismic analysis.
• Broad project exposure across residential, commercial, hotel and retail sectors.
• Deep knowledge of reinforced concrete, structural steelwork and constructability assessment.
• Strong familiarity with British, European and US design codes and standards.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000 and SAFE.
• Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience with STAAD.Pro, PROKON and Tekla Tedds.
• Ability to independently verify software outputs through validation calculations.
