Strategic Manager & M&A

About the role

We are looking for an elite corporate development or investment banking professional to lead our bank’s strategic growth initiatives. Based in our Bahrain hub, you will build a brand‑new Strategic Expansion & M&A function from the ground up and drive cross‑border transactions and post‑acquisition integration.

Key responsibilities

• Establish, build, and lead the Strategic Expansion & M&A department, defining its framework, policies, procedures, and governance.
• Identify, evaluate, and execute acquisition and investment opportunities aligned with the bank’s strategic objectives.
• Oversee post‑acquisition integration to unlock synergies, mitigate friction, and drive value creation.
• Support international expansion initiatives, coordinating with regional regulators and external stakeholders.
• Develop corporate strategy materials, conduct market and competitor analysis, and prepare high‑level reports for Executive Management and the Board.
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders (business, finance, risk, compliance, legal) and external advisors, regulators, and strategic partners.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in corporate development, M&A, investment banking, or strategy consulting within the financial services or banking sector.
• Proven track record of identifying, evaluating, and executing complex corporate transactions and large‑scale transformation initiatives.
• Demonstrated expertise in post‑merger integration to maximize commercial synergies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CFA charter highly preferred.
• Professional fluency in English.
