Teacher of Chemistry

About the role

The British School of Bahrain is seeking a Chemistry Teacher to join its senior school from August 2026. You will deliver the National Curriculum for England and Wales, adapted for the local context, to students aged 14‑18 preparing for IGCSE and A‑Level/BTEC examinations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons that inspire and challenge all learners while meeting curriculum and assessment requirements.
• Assess student progress regularly, provide targeted feedback, and differentiate instruction to ensure each pupil makes outstanding progress.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued, supported, and motivated to take risks in their learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues, share best practices, and contribute actively to the school’s learning community.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience teaching Chemistry up to A‑Level.
• Ability to design and adapt lessons for IGCSE, A‑Level and BTEC pathways.
• Strong commitment to student‑centred learning and continuous assessment.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
