About the role
The Assistant Restaurant Manager will support daily restaurant operations at Primavera, the Italian restaurant within The Ritz‑Carlton Bahrain. This role ensures smooth service during peak periods, maintains high sanitation standards, and contributes to menu planning and guest satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in supervising restaurant staff, handling employee questions and performance monitoring.
- Oversee floor service during busy meal periods, supporting servers and hosts.
- Communicate food quality and service issues to the Chef and Restaurant Manager.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation, food safety, and local alcohol service regulations.
- Manage inventory, supplies, equipment, and uniform availability.
- Monitor and achieve budgeted financial goals, including cost control.
- Open and close restaurant shifts, performing duties across all restaurant areas as needed.
- Address guest feedback, resolve complaints, and promote exceptional customer service.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of food‑and‑beverage experience, or a 2‑year degree in Hospitality, Food Service Management, or related field with 2 years experience.
- Proven ability to supervise and train restaurant staff.
- Strong communication skills and a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including peak service times.
Required skills
- Knowledge of sanitation and food safety standards.
- Understanding of local alcohol service regulations.
- Budget management and cost‑control experience.
