Civil Inspector

About the role

Stantec is seeking a Civil Inspector to support construction supervision projects focused on stormwater, drainage, flood alleviation, wastewater, and water distribution networks. The role involves on‑site inspections, technical reporting, and collaboration with engineers to ensure high‑quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Interact with clients and contractors to verify project requirements.
• Prepare inspection reports, site records, and perform civil and structural tests.
• Inspect all construction and subcontracted work, identify non‑conforming items, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineers on design problem solving and basic calculations.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and technical assessments.
• Liaise with remote teams to facilitate task completion.
• Maintain safe work practices and adhere to Stantec quality and core‑value standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Resident Engineer.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field.
• CRPEP registration (Registered Engineer).
• Experience with pump stations, deep excavations, NDRC, utility diversions, dewatering, pavement/roadworks, and pipelines.
