Electrical Engineer – Interior Fit‑Out & MEP Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the planning, execution and handover of interior fit‑out and MEP construction projects. The role involves supervising installations, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with specifications, safety standards and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all electrical installation activities for fit‑out projects, reviewing drawings, BOQs and shop drawings.
• Coordinate electrical works with architectural, civil, mechanical and interior fit‑out teams.
• Monitor progress, ensure schedule adherence and compliance with local authority regulations and electrical standards.
• Oversee installation of lighting, small power, distribution boards, cable containment, earthing, lightning protection, emergency lighting and low‑current ELV systems.
• Conduct site inspections, quality checks and ensure workmanship follows approved shop drawings.
• Lead testing and commissioning, prepare reports and support final handover to clients and consultants.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors and suppliers to resolve technical issues and attend coordination meetings.
• Prepare material take‑offs, monitor consumption, assist in variation orders and track project budgets.
• Enforce HSE policies, conduct risk assessments and implement quality control procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of electrical engineering experience, with at least 3 years on commercial or retail fit‑out projects.
• Previous Gulf region experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of local authority regulations and standards.
