Electrical Engineer – Interior Fit‑out & MEP Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the planning, execution, testing, commissioning and handover of electrical systems on interior fit‑out and MEP construction projects. The role involves close coordination with project managers, consultants, subcontractors and site teams to deliver projects on time, within budget and to the required quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all electrical installation activities for fit‑out projects.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, BOQs and shop drawings; ensure compliance with local authority regulations and standards.
• Coordinate electrical works with architectural, civil, mechanical and interior fit‑out teams.
• Oversee installation of lighting, small power, distribution boards, cable containment, earthing, lightning protection, emergency lighting and low‑current (ELV) systems.
• Conduct regular site inspections, quality checks and risk assessments.
• Lead testing and commissioning activities, prepare reports and support final handover to clients and consultants.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, contractors and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
• Prepare material take‑offs, monitor consumption, assist with variation orders and track project budgets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years on commercial or retail fit‑out projects.
• Gulf region experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution, LV, ELV, fire alarm, structured cabling, CCTV and access control systems.
