Electrical Technician – EV Charging & EWA Licensed

About the role

The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across commercial, residential, and industrial properties. The role also includes the installation, testing, commissioning, and upkeep of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations while ensuring compliance with Bahrain EWA regulations and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical assets.
• Install and maintain wiring, distribution boards, circuit breakers, lighting, sockets, switches, and power outlets.
• Diagnose electrical faults and implement effective solutions.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Ensure compliance with Bahrain EWA regulations and electrical safety standards.
• Install, commission, test, and maintain EV charging stations.
• Prepare sites and electrical infrastructure for EV charger installations.
• Install cabling, protective devices, isolators, and distribution systems required for EV chargers.
• Troubleshoot EV charging equipment and resolve faults.
• Perform preventive maintenance and periodic inspections of EV charging stations.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and clients during projects.
• Prepare installation reports, commissioning documents, and maintenance records.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and ensure safe work practices.
• Support facility improvement projects and energy‑efficiency initiatives.

Required profile

• Valid EWA Electrical Technician License (mandatory).
• Diploma, ITI, or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology.
• Minimum three years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
• Experience in commercial buildings or facilities management preferred.
• Experience with EV charger installation is an advantage.
• Good time‑management and organizational skills.
