Executive Governance & Strategy Officer (Board Secretary)

About the role

We are a fast‑growing fintech operating across the GCC and are looking for a high‑trust Executive Governance & Strategy Officer to act as the connective tissue between the Board, the CEO and the C‑suite. This senior position ensures that board decisions, CEO directives and strategic initiatives are tracked, executed and delivered across technology, product, finance and growth functions.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain the Master Resolution Log for all Board and executive meetings.
• Track action items, commitments and deadlines at the leadership level.
• Proactively follow up with C‑level executives to ensure delivery and escalate risks or delays.
• Develop and maintain an Executive Scorecard monitoring KPIs across Tech, Product, Finance and Growth.
• Monitor implementation of strategic initiatives across departments.
• Prepare board‑ready briefings, executive summaries and high‑level presentations.
• Support special projects such as licence applications, fundraising preparation or geographic expansion.
• Maintain governance calendars, documentation standards and approval workflows.
• Act as a central communication hub across executive leadership.

Required profile

• Approximately 7+ years of experience in executive coordination, governance, strategy or similar leadership‑facing roles.
• Strong executive presence with confidence to operate at Board level.
• Structured, disciplined mindset with high attention to documentation and accountability.
• Proven ability to drive follow‑up and enforce deadlines across senior stakeholders.
• Experience in fintech, financial services or regulated environments is advantageous.
• MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
• Based in Bahrain.
