Guest Services Officer – Bahrain International Airport

About the role

AirAsia X is looking for a dynamic, service‑oriented Guest Services Officer to join the team at Bahrain International Airport. Reporting to the Station Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest safety, security and service standards across all ground operations.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure smooth daily operations at the check‑in counter, gate management and arrival hall, and prepare daily operation reports.
• Plan staff deployment, conduct briefings and de‑briefings, and assign personnel to designated areas.
• Guarantee the check‑in counter opens four hours before departure and verify that all systems (conveyor, BHS, tubs, FIDS) are operational.
• Monitor staff movement and discipline, reporting issues to supervisors as needed.
• React promptly to flight delays and coordinate corrective actions.
• Implement SOPs in line with GOM and comply with airline standards, safety performance, applicable laws and procedures.

Required profile

• Friendly, mature, humble, honest and meticulous.
• Self‑starter able to perform under pressure in a challenging environment.
• High confidentiality, tactful and discreet when dealing with people.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to work on shifts.

Required skills

• Proficient oral and written English.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia or the local language where staff are located.
