Head of Credit & Capital Management Services and Lead Business Credit Office

About the role

HSBC is seeking a senior professional to lead Credit & Capital Management Services (CCM) and the Business Credit Office (BCO) in Bahrain. The role will drive the implementation of a new end‑to‑end operating model, ensuring credit risk is managed efficiently and client experience is enhanced.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure CCM OKRs are achieved for the Bahrain market.
• Lead the execution and implementation of the BCO function, creating a single control point for credit and lending tasks.
• Manage portfolio and risk exposure in partnership with banking teams and WCRM, defining and monitoring risk appetite.
• Drive policy and procedure simplification to make the underwriting process more effective.
• Improve productivity of the function while enhancing client experience.
• Provide oversight to outsourced credit and capital management services.
• Lead a multi‑year transformation journey and implement the target CCM Services operating model.
• Manage risk and control across the end‑to‑end credit process.
• Oversee budgeting, planning, and the digitisation of the CCM COO journey.
• Monitor and analyse customer feedback to identify improvement areas.

Required profile

• High‑calibre professional with extensive experience in credit risk and capital management.
• Proven track record of leading large‑scale transformation and process optimisation initiatives.
• Strong ability to partner with banking teams, set risk appetite, and manage portfolio exposure.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Leadership experience in a global banking environment.
