IFE Engineer – Aircraft Inflight Entertainment

About the role

The IFE Engineer will coordinate the operation, maintenance, and development of aircraft inflight entertainment (IFE) and cabin management systems (CMS) for a leading VVIP client in Bahrain. You will ensure devices are serviceable, support upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and help maintain compliance with operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Device Management: clean, charge, update software and manage subscriptions for IFE carry‑on devices.
• Technical Support: assist engineering in troubleshooting IFE/CMS systems and investigate defects.
• System Documentation: maintain software, firmware and hardware matrices and create procedures not covered in the AMM.
• Content Management: coordinate live TV, media downloads and periodic movie refreshes.
• Training & Development: deliver on‑the‑job and refresher training for IFE/CMS personnel.
• Upgrades & Modifications: work with corporate planning on upgrades, obsolescence solutions and new technology integration.
• Operational Support: act as backup for flying IFE engineers during flights.
• Innovation & Solutions: explore and implement new technologies and system enhancements.

Required profile

• Higher secondary education or equivalent qualification.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
