Junior Analyst – Academic Systems

About the role

The Academic Systems team is looking for a Junior Analyst to support the administration, maintenance, testing and daily operation of student information systems. You will help ensure data security, accuracy and availability while working closely with academic and IT stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative and technical support for student systems and related digital platforms.
• Assist with system maintenance, troubleshooting, user‑access management and performance monitoring.
• Support testing, upgrades, configuration changes and new system implementations.
• Manage user accounts, roles and permissions to maintain secure access.
• Investigate system issues, identify root causes and escalate when necessary.
• Perform data validation and quality checks across student systems.
• Generate scheduled and ad‑hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain system documentation, user guides and knowledge‑base material.
• Provide training and guidance to junior staff and end‑users.
• Respond to IT‑related enquiries from staff and students via email, phone or in‑person.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related technical field.
• Good understanding of IT systems, applications, databases and user‑access management.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Commitment to compliance with data protection legislation and information‑security policies.
