About the role
The company is seeking a diligent Accountant to ensure the integrity of its general accounts and oversee treasury operations. You will work closely with the Chief General Accountant to maintain compliance with FCA regulations and standard accounting practices.
Key responsibilities
- Control and maintain the integrity of general accounts in line with FCA requirements.
- Review cashier activities for proper checks and balances.
- Oversee treasury functions, including money transfers, bank charges, remittances, wire transfers, and telex payments.
- Conduct internal audits, recommend corrective actions, and follow up on implementation.
- Perform monthly bank and affiliate reconciliations and resolve irregularities.
- Maintain a monthly trial balance audit file to verify balance accuracy.
- Manage filing and follow‑up of subsidy applications and refunds.
- Prepare monthly fixed‑asset acquisition reports for manager approval.
