Accountant – General Ledger & Treasury

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to ensure the integrity of our general accounts, manage treasury activities, and support internal financial controls. This role reports to the Chief General Accountant and works closely with the accounting team.

Key responsibilities

• Control and maintain the integrity of general accounts in compliance with FCA regulations and standard accounting practices.
• Review cashier activities and perform checks and balances as needed.
• Oversee treasury functions, including money transfers, bank charges, remittances, wire transfers, and telex payments, ensuring accuracy before submission.
• Conduct internal audits, recommend corrective measures, and follow up on implementation.
• Perform monthly bank and affiliate reconciliations and address any irregularities.
• Maintain a monthly trial balance audit file to confirm accurate balances.
• Handle filing and follow‑up on subsidy applications and refunds.
• Prepare monthly fixed‑asset acquisition reports for manager approval.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting.
