Archaeology Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Archaeology Manager to lead research, excavation, and cultural heritage projects. This remote position supports our mission to preserve cultural resources through scientific excellence and sustainable development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead archaeological research, excavations, and heritage management initiatives.
• Develop project plans, budgets, timelines, and research methodologies.
• Oversee surveys, site assessments, artifact documentation, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams of archaeologists, historians, conservators, and consultants.
• Prepare technical reports, publications, impact assessments, and regulatory documentation.
• Manage relationships with government agencies, academic institutions, museums, and community stakeholders.
• Supervise artifact cataloging, preservation, and digital documentation efforts.
• Monitor project quality, risks, and resource allocation.
• Lead grant applications, research partnerships, and funding opportunities.
• Promote public education and awareness of cultural heritage preservation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, History, Cultural Heritage, or a related field.
• 5–10+ years of experience in archaeology, cultural resource management, or heritage conservation.
• Proven experience managing archaeological projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of field methods, heritage legislation, and research standards.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Experience preparing technical reports and regulatory documentation.
• Ability to coordinate remote teams and collaborate with international stakeholders.
• Commitment to cultural heritage preservation and scientific integrity.
