Associate Factory Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Associate Factory Manager to lead a large joinery manufacturing operation with over 700 workers. The role focuses on improving efficiency, overseeing production schedules, and driving continuous improvement across all shop‑floor activities.

Key responsibilities

• Enhance existing processes, propose mechanisation and optimise machining for consistent quality and productivity.
• Oversee the full production cycle – from scheduling, work allocation with floor supervisors, to monitoring output and adjusting plans as needed.
• Lead new product development, selecting machines, tools, fixtures and inspection methods.
• Implement European‑level standards in housekeeping, health & safety, product handling and planning.
• Coordinate with metal, purchasing, stores, logistics and H&S functions to ensure smooth operations.
• Manage staff selection, performance, training and development to maintain a skilled workforce.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of experience in factory management within a large furniture or joinery manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead a workforce of 700+ employees and solve technical problems on the shop floor.
• Strong understanding of capacity management, Lean manufacturing and woodworking construction methods.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multinational setting.
