Auto A/C Electrician

About the role

The Auto A/C Electrician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining automotive air‑conditioning systems and related electrical components across passenger cars, commercial vehicles and heavy equipment. The role ensures vehicles remain safe, efficient and road‑worthy while complying with company quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose faults in automotive A/C systems using specialized diagnostic equipment.
• Repair and replace compressors, condensers, evaporators, blower motors, expansion valves and related parts.
• Perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, charging and leak testing.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle electrical systems, including wiring harnesses, alternators, starters, relays, sensors and control modules.
• Install and maintain electrical accessories such as tracking systems, cameras, reverse sensors and auxiliary lighting.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections on A/C and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults using multimeters, scanners and other diagnostic tools.
• Document all repairs and maintenance activities and maintain a clean work environment.

Required profile

• Diploma, ITI or Technical Certificate in Automotive Electrical or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience as an Auto A/C Electrician in a workshop, fleet facility or dealership.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and automotive air‑conditioning systems.
• Experience with passenger, commercial and heavy‑equipment vehicles is preferred.
• Ability to use automotive diagnostic and testing equipment.
• Basic English communication skills.
