Auto Finance Coordinator

About the role

The Auto Finance Coordinator is responsible for processing customer requests for internal financing options and securing external financing from banks for vehicle purchases. The role requires strong financial knowledge, excellent communication, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced dealership environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer requests for internal financing, review credit applications and verify customer information.
• Explain financing options, terms and conditions to customers, ensuring clear understanding.
• Collaborate with sales teams to provide accurate financing information.
• Liaise with banks and financial institutions to secure loans for vehicle purchases.
• Prepare complete and accurate loan application documentation.
• Negotiate loan terms and interest rates with banks on behalf of customers.
• Stay updated on lending rates, loan programs and automotive financing trends.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues throughout the financing process.
• Coordinate with sales administration to monitor compliance and prepare weekly reporting on deals and approvals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
• Proven experience in finance or accounting within the automotive industry, preferably in a dealership setting.
• Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices and regulations related to automotive financing.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
• High attention to detail, accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross‑functional teams.
• Strong negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Effective multitasking and prioritisation in a fast‑paced environment.
