B2 Licensed Engineer (Aircraft Maintenance)

About the role

The B2 Licensed Engineer leads a team of licensed engineers and unlicensed mechanics, ensuring aircraft are maintained to the highest technical standards and safely released back into service. This position combines hands‑on technical authority with supervisory and training responsibilities within a global express delivery network.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise licensed engineers and unlicensed maintenance mechanics, authorising aircraft release in compliance with legal certification requirements.
• Ensure all aircraft maintenance work meets approved data, regulatory standards, and company quality procedures.
• Provide on‑the‑job training and mentorship to mechanics and trainees.
• Manage company‑issued IT equipment (iPads, mobile phones) and maintain ETL systems, including contingency printing procedures.
• Coordinate shift handovers with clear written and verbal communication to guarantee continuity and safety.
• Requisition, tag, and return parts, ensuring serviceability and proper documentation.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, manufacturer service letters, and related regulations.
• Complete mandatory quarterly trainings (e.g., Continuation Training, SFAR 88 Fuel Tank safety, Human Factors) and enforce safety practices among team members.

Required profile

• Licensed aircraft engineer with legal authority to release aircraft to service.
• Proven experience supervising maintenance personnel and conducting technical training.
• Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, ADs, SBs, and manufacturer documentation.
• Commitment to safety, documentation accuracy, and continuous learning.
