Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

About the role

Chisholm Enterprises is looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic and commercial financial leadership for its expanding aviation and cargo operations in Bahrain. The CFO will work closely with senior leaders to translate business priorities into financial plans, support growth initiatives, and ensure robust governance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy, annual planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance management.
• Prepare and present financial and commercial recommendations to the Executive Team and Board.
• Oversee treasury, funding and cash‑management activities to maintain liquidity.
• Strengthen corporate governance, internal controls, statutory reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
• Support aircraft financing, leasing, acquisitions, insurance programmes and major commercial negotiations.
• Partner with operational leaders to improve reporting, cost management and revenue opportunities.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing finance team.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, data‑driven decision‑making and business intelligence.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Significant experience as a CFO, Finance Director or senior finance leader in a complex, asset‑intensive organisation.
• Proven track record in financial strategy, business planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance management.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to assess risk and convert strategy into action.
• Experience in treasury, cash‑flow management, funding and capital‑structure optimisation.
• Deep knowledge of corporate governance, internal controls, statutory obligations and international accounting standards.
• Experience in aviation, logistics, transportation or similar sectors is highly desirable.
