Civil Engineer – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to design, develop, and oversee infrastructure solutions that support critical missions at Naval Support Activity Bahrain. The role involves applying engineering best practices to ensure resilient, efficient, and sustainable civil works.

Key responsibilities

• Study, design, and specify transportation systems, bridges, drainage, underground utilities, hydrology/hydraulics, water treatment, wastewater treatment, water resources, tunnels, and geotechnical works.
• Perform field investigations, engineering analysis, calculations, and develop statements of work, plans, and specifications.
• Review drawings, provide construction support, and resolve design and construction issues.
• Communicate complex engineering concepts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Negotiate technical issues with senior engineers and external partners.
• Provide advisory and consulting services as an authority in specialized engineering areas.
• Oversee a multidisciplinary Damage Assessment Team and coordinate facility inspections.
• Evaluate vendor quotations and ensure projects meet quality, safety, and efficiency standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a civil engineer with a strong foundation in engineering principles.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, design, and manage large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the capacity to make authoritative technical decisions.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with both technical teams and senior leadership.
