Controller - Database Administration

About the role

The Controller - Database Administration ensures the smooth, secure, and efficient operation of the organization’s database environment. You will manage performance, backup and recovery, security, and SAP BASIS administration while supporting cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain databases for optimal performance and data integrity.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and apply tuning techniques.
• Develop and execute backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery plans.
• Plan and perform database upgrades and migrations with minimal downtime.
• Implement security controls, access permissions, and encryption.
• Administer SAP BASIS systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot database issues such as performance problems, data corruption, and connectivity failures.
• Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and stakeholders to align database solutions with business needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in database administration.
• Professional certification in Oracle, SAP, or MSSQL is a plus.
• Proven track record delivering complex database projects.
