Cook II – Food Preparation Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Cook II to join our kitchen team at a prestigious hotel in Manama. The successful candidate will support food preparation and cooking operations, ensuring every dish meets our high standards of quality, presentation, and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, and measuring.
• Cook and assemble dishes according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers safely and efficiently.
• Monitor food quality, test doneness, and adjust cooking as needed.
• Set up and break down work stations, serve food in proper portions, and maintain a clean, sanitized kitchen environment.
• Check and record appliance and food temperatures, and follow all safety and security policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of related food‑service experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 lb.
• Strong attention to hygiene, safety, and company policies.
• No supervisory experience or specific licenses required.
