Corporate Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join the Tax Advisory team at Grant Thornton Abdulaal in Bahrain. The role involves delivering comprehensive tax advisory services, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and providing strategic tax planning for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a full range of tax advisory services in line with Bahrain tax laws and regulations.
• Build and maintain client relationships, offering planning, consulting and expertise.
• Prepare and review complex tax returns and provide innovative tax planning solutions.
• Identify tax risks, manage exposures and mitigate them through effective structuring.
• Oversee tax provision and compliance processes, ensuring timely filing.
• Develop and implement best‑practice processes to improve efficiency.
• Manage and coordinate tax audits and communicate outcomes to clients.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and advise management on implications.
• Lead and develop the tax advisory team, collaborating with partners and senior partners on decision‑making.

Required profile

• Degree in accounting, finance, commerce or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, LLB, LLM, LLD or JSD.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate taxation.
• Strong knowledge of tax accounting, compliance and various tax return types.
• Excellent numeric and analytical abilities, result‑driven and client‑focused.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.

Required skills

• In‑depth understanding of Bahrain tax legislation.
• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing complex tax returns.
• Experience managing tax audits and tax provision processes.
