Counter Trafficking Consultant

About the role

The Counter Trafficking Consultant will support the Phase II implementation of the Regional Centre of Excellence for Combatting Trafficking in Persons (RCTiP) in Bahrain. This role focuses on expanding training materials, developing digital learning solutions, and strengthening Bahrain’s regional leadership in anti‑trafficking efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Adapt and broaden existing training curricula to reach new practitioner audiences, including interpreters, recruitment officers, manpower agents, and border officials.
• Design and launch e‑learning modules that promote self‑learning and awareness of trafficking identification and referral procedures.
• Support the development and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for victim‑of‑trafficking (VoT) and potential victim‑of‑trafficking (PVoT) handling.
• Collaborate with IOM, LMRA, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with national protection mechanisms and international standards.
• Explore sustainability options for the centre, such as monetisation of training products.

Required profile

• Proven experience in anti‑trafficking programmes, capacity‑building, or related humanitarian projects.
• Strong background in curriculum development and adult learning methodologies.
• Familiarity with national and international legal frameworks on trafficking in persons.
• Ability to work with government agencies, NGOs, and regional partners.
