Dance Teacher & Choreographer

About the role

The LC Academy is seeking a dynamic, energetic and friendly Dance Teacher & Choreographer for its September‑December term. This part‑time position focuses on delivering age‑appropriate choreography and high‑quality dance lessons to students, primarily within the Saturday Theatre Company School.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, create and teach age‑appropriate dance routines for youth performers.
• Deliver engaging dance lessons throughout the week, ensuring safety and progression.
• Prepare students for performances and theatre productions.
• Collaborate with the Academy team to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Adapt choreography to suit varying skill levels and class sizes.

Required profile

• Patient, positive and team‑oriented attitude.
• Professional performer flair with experience in teaching dance.
• Enthusiastic about developing triple‑threat youth performers.
• Background in musical theatre is a strong advantage.

Required skills

• Dance choreography.

• Knowledge of musical theatre dance styles.
