Director – Consumer Rights & Competition Law

About the role

This full‑time remote Director position at Tüketici Hakları ve Rekabet Hukuku Merkezi provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all programs and initiatives related to consumer rights and competition law.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise multidisciplinary teams and coordinate research projects
• Oversee publications and manage partnerships with academic, public and private stakeholders
• Represent the centre at conferences, working groups and media engagements
• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards
• Manage the budget, lead fundraising and develop grant proposals
• Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement of internal processes and digital collaboration tools

Required profile

• Expertise in consumer rights and competition law with strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams, projects and cross‑functional collaborations
• Proficiency in strategic planning, program development and organizational governance
• Advanced skills in research design, legal analysis and preparation of reports, policy briefs and publications
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and, ideally, Turkish
• Experience engaging regulators, industry representatives, civil‑society and academic institutions
• Competence with remote‑work tools, digital collaboration platforms and basic data‑management or project‑tracking systems
• Proven capability in budget oversight, grant writing and resource development
• Graduate degree in law, economics, public policy or related field; doctoral degree or equivalent experience is an asset
