Director of Finance

About the role

We are looking for a senior finance leader to drive the pre‑opening and launch financial operations of Tivoli Bilaj Al Jazayer Bahrain Resort and Avani Bilaj Al Jazayer Bahrain Resort. The Director of Finance will establish robust financial controls, systems and reporting structures, working closely with the Hotel Manager and senior leadership to ensure strong governance and profitability from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all pre‑opening financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, financial systems setup and internal controls.
• Develop and implement finance policies, procedures and SOPs aligned with brand standards and local regulations.
• Prepare and manage pre‑opening budgets, opening balance sheets and capital‑expenditure tracking.
• Oversee accounting, finance, procurement, cost control and payroll functions for both properties.
• Produce timely monthly financial statements, forecasts and variance analyses.
• Partner with department heads to provide financial guidance, cost‑control measures and performance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, audits, tax regulations and brand financial policies.
• Support strategic decision‑making with cash‑flow management and financial insights.
• Recruit, train and lead the finance team during the pre‑opening phase.
• Implement controls to safeguard assets, cash handling, inventory and purchasing processes.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in finance leadership, preferably within hospitality or large‑scale pre‑opening projects.
• Strong strategic mindset with a detail‑oriented approach.
• Proven ability to design and enforce financial controls and reporting frameworks.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with senior management and cross‑functional teams.
