EBC & Catering Manager

About the role

Sheraton is hiring a full-time EBC & Catering Manager in Manama, Bahrain. The manager directs and motivates the team, assists personally in setting up function rooms such as tables, chairs, dance floors and podiums, and executes events to the required standards. The role also covers financial and administrative control, including asset protection.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the Red Coat program meets Catering Event Service minimum standards and delegate tasks so room sets are on time and meet event service standards.
• Manage departmental inventories and assets, including par levels, equipment maintenance and supply projections (pads, pens, candy jars, bottled water).
• Set consistent standards for regular and VIP meeting rooms, inspect function rooms before each event against specifications and event documentation, and keep banquet areas clean and sanitary.
• Act as liaison between Banquets, Event Planning and Event Delivery teams and the group contact, coordinate departments, review the diary weekly for space maximisation and handle guest feedback and complaints.
• Set service goals for supervisors and staff, lead shifts, run monthly department meetings, schedule staff and train them in safety and emergency procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years of experience in event management, food and beverage or a related field.
