Electrical Engineer – Interior Fit‑Out & MEP Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the planning, execution, testing, commissioning and handover of electrical systems for interior fit‑out and MEP construction projects. The role involves close coordination with project managers, consultants, subcontractors and site teams to deliver projects on time, within budget and to the required quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all electrical installation activities for fit‑out projects, reviewing drawings, specifications and shop drawings.
• Coordinate electrical works with architectural, civil, mechanical and interior fit‑out teams and ensure compliance with local regulations and standards.
• Oversee installation of lighting, power, distribution boards, earthing, lightning protection, emergency lighting and low‑current systems.
• Conduct site inspections, quality checks and risk assessments, and ensure HSE policies are followed.
• Lead testing and commissioning activities, prepare reports and support final handover to clients and consultants.
• Prepare material take‑offs, monitor consumption, assist with variation orders and track project budgets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of electrical engineering experience, including at least 3 years on commercial or retail fit‑out projects.
• Previous experience in the Gulf region is preferred.

Required skills

• Electrical distribution, LV and ELV systems, lighting and power design.
• Fire alarm, structured cabling, CCTV and access‑control systems.
• Testing and commissioning procedures and knowledge of local authority regulations.
• AutoCAD, MS Office/Excel, Revit (preferred), Primavera P6 (preferred) and ERP systems.
