Electrical Technician (EWA Licensed) – EV Charging & Facility Maintenance

About the role

The Electrical Technician will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems across commercial, residential and industrial sites. The role also covers the installation, commissioning and upkeep of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations while ensuring compliance with Bahrain EWA regulations and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, equipment and components.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical assets.
• Install and service wiring, distribution boards, circuit breakers, lighting, sockets, switches and power outlets.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
• Ensure compliance with Bahrain EWA regulations and electrical safety standards.
• Install, commission, test and maintain EV charging stations.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare infrastructure for EV charger installations.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors and clients during installation projects.
• Prepare installation reports, commissioning documents and maintenance records.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns.

Required profile

• Valid EWA Electrical Technician License (mandatory).
• Diploma, ITI or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
• Experience in commercial buildings or facilities management preferred.
• Experience with EV charger installation is an advantage.
