Exam Proctor

About the role

The International School of Choueifat, Cairo is seeking an Exam Proctor to ensure smooth execution of all examinations in line with SABIS® guidelines. The role involves managing exam logistics, maintaining a quiet environment, and supporting students and supervisors throughout the testing process.

Key responsibilities

• Run all AMS/HE, periodic and final exams accurately, as well as external exams such as SAT, GCE, IGCSE and AP.
• Check exam hall capacity, prepare seating plans, label and colour‑code desks, and display exam rules and instructions.
• Inform students and supervisors of exam regulations, assist students with logging into the SSMS, and ensure the correct exams are selected.
• Maintain a silent atmosphere, monitor exam schedules, and verify that exams are uploaded correctly each week.
• Prepare written papers and digital exams in advance, store printed exams securely, and verify copies, formatting and pagination before photocopying.
• Record student absences, announce exam duration, and report any offenses or irregularities to the head supervisor or Director.
• Track exam timing milestones and alert the School Director if adjustments are needed.
• Collect and count completed papers, handling any issues that arise during the examination.

Required profile

• Ability to follow SABIS® exam guidelines and school policies.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills for interacting with students, supervisors and school leadership.
• Capability to maintain a quiet, controlled environment during examinations.
