Field Service Technician

About the role

Sulzer is seeking a hands‑on Field Service Technician to support customers with on‑site repairs, service, and supervision of field personnel. The role involves working on both Sulzer and non‑Sulzer rotating equipment in client locations and workshops.

Key responsibilities

• Dismantle, inspect, machine, repair and rebuild rotating equipment.
• Perform field service repairs and overhauls at client sites and in the workshop.
• Supervise subcontractors and field service personnel as required.
• Compile job reports and represent Sulzer with customers.
• Assist in maintaining OSH, Quality and Environment policies and ISO accreditation.
• Interpret engineering drawings, balance rotating equipment, and align pumps, motors, etc.

Required profile

• Trade qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with electrical/mechanical products and field service.
• Strong communication and time‑management skills.
• Ability to travel more than 50 % of the time.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
