Finance Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager will own Malaeb's finance function across all entities and markets, handling accounting, cash management, reporting, budgeting and compliance while partnering with the founders on pricing, partnerships, fundraising and expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Own the general ledger, month‑end close and revenue recognition under IFRS 15, ensuring monthly close within 10 working days.
• Run weekly cash forecasts, manage multi‑currency banking relationships and oversee payables, receivables and venue‑owner payouts.
• Produce monthly management accounts, KPI packs and lead the annual budget, quarterly re‑forecasts and variance analysis for founders and the board.
• Ensure VAT compliance in Bahrain and new markets, coordinate statutory audits and maintain corporate registrations.
• Design finance controls, set approval limits, and set up finance for new country entities and SPVs.
• Support fundraising with data rooms, investor reporting and due‑diligence, and build/maintain financial models for pricing and market decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; ACCA, CPA, CMA or equivalent (qualified or final stages).
• 6+ years finance experience, including at least 2 years managing a finance function or team.
• Solid command of IFRS, Bahrain VAT and basic GCC tax.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a strong advantage.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with cloud accounting software (Zoho Books preferred; Xero or QuickBooks acceptable).
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets, including three‑statement financial modelling.
• Experience with multi‑country entities, consolidation and intercompany accounting.
• Familiarity with BI tools or SQL for working directly with app data.
