French-speaking Accountant (International Entities)

About the role

This permanent position is based in Bahrain and supports the accounting, reporting and compliance activities of UK and Belgian entities for an international organisation. The role offers a tax‑free salary package, visa sponsorship and relocation assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Full ownership of accounting and reporting for UK and Belgian entities.
• Month‑end close and preparation of financial statements.
• VAT and tax compliance, including returns and statutory reporting.
• Balance‑sheet and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Budgeting, forecasting support and variance analysis.
• Liaising with auditors, tax advisors, banks and regulatory bodies.
• Supporting process improvements and strengthening financial controls.
• Collaborating with senior management and international stakeholders.

Required profile

• Fluent in French and English.
• 4‑6 years of finance or accounting experience.
• Previous experience supporting UK and/or Belgian entities.
• Hands‑on experience with VAT returns, tax compliance and statutory reporting.
• Strong understanding of UK and/or Belgian accounting requirements.
• Experience in multi‑entity or international organisations.
• Month‑end close and financial reporting expertise.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
