Furniture Designer – Remote Part‑Time

About the role

We are looking for a creative Furniture Designer to develop original concepts for residential, hospitality, commercial and custom projects. The position is fully remote and part‑time, allowing you to manage projects independently while collaborating with interior designers, architects, manufacturers and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop original furniture concepts and create sketches, mood boards, layouts and visual presentations.
• Produce detailed designs, technical drawings, specifications and documentation that meet dimensions, materials and manufacturing requirements.
• Research current furniture trends, materials, finishes and emerging design directions.
• Collaborate with interior designers, architects, manufacturers and suppliers to ensure feasibility and quality.
• Evaluate materials, construction methods and production considerations, refining designs based on feedback.
• Support prototype development, design reviews and quality evaluation processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, Product Design or related field (preferred).
• 3+ years of professional experience in furniture, product or interior design.
• Strong understanding of furniture design principles, ergonomics, proportions, materials and functionality.
• Knowledge of furniture construction, manufacturing processes, finishes and production constraints.
• Ability to manage multiple design projects independently in a fully remote environment.
• Excellent visual judgment, attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 2D/3D modeling, visualization and presentation tools.
• Familiarity with technical drawing, product specifications and prototype documentation.
