GIS Mechanical Technician – Bahrain

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced GIS Mechanical Technician to join its team in Bahrain. The role focuses on the maintenance and operation of GIS equipment within the petroleum and power sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on 33/21/11kV metal‑clad switchgears, circuit breakers, and busbars.
• Manage GIS hardware, conduct spatial analysis, and create technical maps.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams and oversee a workforce on site.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and reports.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of GIS maintenance experience in utility or power sectors.
• At least 5 years of hands‑on experience with metal‑clad switchgear maintenance.
• Strong time‑management and organizational abilities.
• Familiarity with relevant rules, regulations, and best practices.
