Head Accountant (Remote, Part‑Time)

About the role

We are a growth‑oriented organization focused on strong financial management and accurate reporting. The Head Accountant will lead accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, controls and support management with timely financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations and financial record‑keeping.
• Lead preparation and review of periodic financial statements and management reports.
• Review general ledger entries, reconciliations, invoices, expenses and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash transactions and other accounting functions.
• Maintain effective accounting controls and identify potential financial or process risks.
• Coordinate with management, auditors, external advisors and internal stakeholders.
• Investigate accounting discrepancies and ensure prompt resolution.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and management reporting.
• Recommend improvements to accounting procedures, reporting processes and financial controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline (preferred).
• 3+ years of professional experience in accounting, financial reporting or a related field (preferred).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, general ledger processes, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense and cash management.
• Familiarity with financial controls, audit processes, budgeting and management reporting.
• Excellent analytical, numerical and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities remotely.
