Hostess – Greek/Mediterranean Restaurant

About the role

We are seeking a warm, polished, and guest‑focused Hostess to be the first point of contact for diners at our Greek/Mediterranean restaurant within Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea & Spa. You will create a welcoming first impression, manage the flow of guests, and support the service team during busy periods.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge guests warmly upon arrival.
• Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow efficiently.
• Escort guests to their tables and introduce them to the dining experience.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of reservations, VIP guests, and special occasions.
• Communicate with the service team to ensure smooth table management.
• Respond to guest requests, enquiries, and feedback with professionalism.
• Maintain a polished and welcoming reception area at all times.
• Assist the restaurant team during peak periods to ensure seamless service.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Hostess or in a guest‑facing role within a luxury hotel or high‑end restaurant.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent English; Arabic or additional languages are an advantage.
• Warm, confident, and professional personality.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm and welcoming in a fast‑paced environment.
• Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Professional grooming and presentation.
