Investment Analyst

About the role

The Investment Analyst will support the BeVentures investment team throughout the investment lifecycle, from market research and deal sourcing to financial analysis and portfolio monitoring. This role contributes to identifying and evaluating technologies and business models that align with Bapco Energies’ strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and investment opportunities in the energy sector.
• Support deal sourcing by tracking and preliminarily analysing opportunities, assessing strategic relevance, pilot potential, and deployment pathways.
• Assist in developing financial models, scoring systems, valuations, and sensitivity analyses for prospective investments.
• Draft investment memoranda, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor portfolio companies, track performance metrics, and prepare regular portfolio performance reports.
• Participate in preliminary due‑diligence activities, gather documentation, and provide analytical support during negotiations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, consulting, or corporate finance.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly.
• Interest in the energy sector and emerging technologies.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint for presentations.
• Experience with financial analysis tools and data analysis.
