IT Assets Administrator - Bahrain

About the role

This position covers the full lifecycle of IT hardware and software assets, from acquisition and deployment through maintenance, recovery and disposal. It also supports software asset management, license compliance, audits and end-of-life activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date asset records in the Asset Management System and CMDB, including movements, assignments, ownership, location, status and configuration.
• Perform regular physical inventory checks and asset audits, and investigate and reconcile discrepancies between physical assets and system records.
• Manage issuance, transfer, return, replacement and recovery of assets, and coordinate recovery during employee transfers, offboarding and device replacement.
• Monitor stock levels and asset availability, and keep proper documentation for receipts, handovers, transfers, returns and disposals.
• Support software asset management and basic software license compliance activities.
• Coordinate EOL, EOS, disposal and asset retirement in line with organizational policies.
• Support internal, external, compliance and financial audits with accurate records and supporting documentation.

Required profile

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in IT Asset Management, IT inventory management or a similar role.
• Demonstrated experience managing asset records, inventory, audits and lifecycle activities.
• Previous experience in a large or enterprise IT environment is preferred.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of ITAM and asset lifecycle management, and knowledge of hardware and software inventory management.
• Good understanding of CMDB concepts and configuration records; experience in asset reconciliation and physical audits.
• Basic understanding of software licensing and software asset management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar reporting tools; good reporting and data analysis skills.
• Understanding of IT Service Management processes is preferred.
• Preferred: experience with ITAM systems, CMDB platforms, inventory and discovery tools, ITSM / service desk tools, and preferably ServiceNow or similar enterprise ITSM platforms.
