Marine & Coastal Engineer

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Marine & Coastal Engineer to support the delivery of projects involving coastal protection, marine structures, and shoreline development. The role involves detailed design work, technical reporting, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations, design development, and simple engineering tests for marine and coastal projects.
• Prepare and review technical reports, design notes, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, contractors, and clients to ensure project alignment.
• Identify and correct discrepancies in calculations, drawings, or specifications.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support continuous improvement of engineering methods.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Marine, or Coastal Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in marine and coastal engineering, preferably in the Middle East.
• Strong knowledge of marine and coastal engineering standards, design principles, and practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Artificial beach creation and beach‑nourishment techniques.
• Sheet‑pile structures and basic seawall design.
