MEP Manager / Building Services Manager

About the role

The MEP Manager / Building Services Manager leads the planning, coordination and delivery of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection and building management systems throughout a construction project. The role works closely with project managers, consultants, contractors and authorities to ensure that building services are executed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all MEP and building services activities from design review to hand‑over.
• Review and approve designs, drawings, calculations, method statements and shop drawings.
• Coordinate MEP works with civil, structural, architectural and interior disciplines to avoid clashes and rework.
• Develop and monitor work programmes, installation schedules and resource plans.
• Manage subcontractors and specialist contractors, monitoring performance, quality and compliance.
• Oversee procurement, material approvals, equipment deliveries and site readiness for MEP installation.
• Conduct regular site inspections, resolve installation issues and ensure compliance with standards.
• Track project costs, variations, claims and commercial risks, supporting variation order evaluation.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing MEP and building services across the full project lifecycle.
• Strong ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and resolve technical conflicts.
• In‑depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection and BMS requirements.
• Excellent understanding of construction schedules, procurement processes and contract administration.
